Horizon drill among kit on show in MMS demonstration ring
Alongside a plethora of brands such as New Holland, Polaris, Stewart and Teagle, Russells will be showcasing the Horizon DSX drill at this year’s Midlands Machinery Show.
Scheduled to be in the demonstration arena for the 19th November event at Newark Showground, the drill has been designed and developed with the specific aim of enabling farmers to accurately place seed in the perfect growing environment with minimal soil disturbance.
Featuring the leading no-till disc coulter on the market, the 4m modular frame can be extended up to 7.2m, with choice of 16.7cm, 18.7cm, 20cm and 25cm row spacings and optional row cleaners reducing hairpinning.
The DSX provides market leading performance with consistent seed placement in a variety of soil types and applications and requires very little horsepower. It also features a 4,700-litre main pressurised split hopper – each hopper has its own metering unit, which enables the selective seeding of two different products.
The drill will be part of a packed programme in the demonstration ring which will include telehandlers and farmyard machinery at a range of sizes. Other demonstrations at the show include the new feature for 2025 – an off-road all-terrain driving experience to test out the latest Can-Am Traxter.
