NFU Conference

A great lineup of speakers has been confirmed for the National Farmers’ Union’s Environment Conference on the 1st day of the Show, which this year focuses on water.

The latest thinking in terms of capture, storage, abstraction and flood prevention will be covered by expert guest speakers including Paul Carrott from Dyson Farming, Severn Trent Water, NFU Water Specialist Mark Betson, and Professor Jerry Knox from Cranfield University.

The union’s Deputy President David Exwood will also be giving an update on the government’s strategy on water for farming.

Driving experiences for everyone

Visitors this year will get a chance to be in the hot seat, where they can get up close and personal to an exciting range of commercial and agricultural vehicles, and ride and drive a range of 4x4s, pick-ups and HGVs on our special course, with the help of INEOS, Diamond Driving and Woldmarsh Producers Ltd.

Farming’s alarming safety record will be tackled at the upcoming Midlands Machinery Show with practical emergency first aid demonstrations on each day of the event alongside a drop-in nurse clinic offering blood pressure and health checks, and mental health and other support.
